Thursday, February 12
Valentine’s Party (K–5): 2:00–3:00 PM — classroom celebrations. Please check with your child’s teacher for any classroom-specific instructions or treat guidelines.
High School Boys Basketball (HSBB) — home vs. Stanfield: Boys only JV at 6:00 PM; Varsity at 7:30 PM.
Friday, February 13
HSBB at Sherman — BJV at 4:30 PM, GV at 6:00 PM, BV at 7:30 PM. Departure for the trip: 1:30 PM. Families: please ensure students arriving for the bus are on time.
Monday, February 16
President’s Day — NO SCHOOL.
Tuesday, February 17
School Board Meeting — 4:00 PM work session; 4:30 PM regular meeting.
Wednesday, February 18
Sectional FFA Leadership Contests — La Grande. Best wishes to our students competing!
Thursday, February 19
Girls District Basketball Semi-final — time TBD @ Arlington.
Friday, February 20
Boys District Basketball Semi-final — time TBD @ Arlington.
Saturday, February 21
Big Sky District Basketball Tournament — The Dalles. 3rd Place games at 10:00 AM & 12:00 PM. Championship games at 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM.

National FFA Week — celebrate our FFA students and activities all week long.

Celebrations from the Week
Valentine’s celebrations brought smiles across our K–5 classrooms! Students shared cards, kind words, and classroom activities that encouraged friendship and community. We are grateful for the thoughtful parent contributions that helped make the day special. Thank you for helping our students celebrate in a safe, inclusive way.
Additional Information & Volunteer Opportunities
Ione Elementary Carnival — March 12, 6:00–8:00 PM
Would you like to help with the carnival? If so, please contact your student’s teacher or call the school office. We welcome volunteers for games, set-up, clean-up, and concession support.
Cardinal Day — February 27 (new event)
What: A pilot Cardinal Day where students may attend from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM for fun, supervised activities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Transportation: One bus from Boardman Park and one bus from Heppner Park for pick up and drop off. All other areas are parent transport.
Action: Look for a note coming home to RSVP for your student. If you have questions, please contact the office. We appreciate your prompt RSVPs so we can plan space and meals.
