Parents of high school students taking or planning to take a BMCC class for Spring term:
As you know, in the past, we have always reimbursed students taking a dual credit class for high school and college credit through BMCC. We call this program the “Eastern Promise”; students only pay $100 per course, as long as they pass with a “C” or better, the school will fully reimburse the student. During the 20-21 school year, the following classes are available for this offer: Algebra 2 (Math 095), Pre-Calc (Math 111/112), both with Mr. Holland.
Previously this year, we approved students taking BMCC courses NOT through the Eastern Promise program but directly through BMCC to be reimbursed as well. At this time, we are no longer offering this option. Students can continue to take the classes if they would still like to but, parents are responsible for paying the full college tuition that is running roughly $600 a course (all courses will vary in price).
If your student is still interested and parents agree to pay the full tuition price, have them contact Cydney or Stephanie McElligott. This will start in effect BMCC’s spring term.
