Last spring, student leaders in the Ione School District received funding from the #OregonStrong campaign for their efforts to mobilize and inspire their peers, serving as a powerful reminder that student voice shapes school culture.
To celebrate that achievement, OregonStrong asked students a simple but meaningful question:
"What do you love about being an Ione Cardinal?"
Student answers reflected a deep sense of pride in the care, connection, and community that define Ione schools. That same spirit is on full display today, as students begin the year in a brand-new school building, which was made possible through a community-supported bond measure.
